Cut is the most important factor in a diamond’s beauty, as it directly affects how light is reflected and dispersed. A perfectly symmetrical cut allows light to enter and return with exceptional brilliance, fire, and sparkle. For this reason, Dermond selects only Triple Excellent Cut diamonds – the highest grading according to international certification standards.

Natural diamonds exist in a variety of colors, but pure white diamonds remain the most sought after. Diamond color is graded from D (completely colorless) to Z (noticeable color presence). Dermond exclusively selects diamonds within the Colorless to Near Colorless range (D-J).We also ensure that our diamonds are free from undesirable secondary hues such as green, brown, or gray.

Carat is the unit used to measure a diamond’s weight. As carat weight increases, the price per carat rises significantly. Some diamonds are cut to retain maximum weight, which may compromise their brilliance. At Dermond, we prioritize brilliance over weight – selecting diamonds cut for optimal light performance rather than simply preserving carat size.Because ultimately, the perfect diamond is the one that feels right for you.

When selecting a diamond, we encourage you to visit at least two to three boutiques for comparison. Seeing the diamonds in person allows you to evaluate not only the beauty of the stone, but also other important factors such as the retailer’s credibility, service standards, and after-sales care. We hope this guide helps you better understand the 4Cs and leads you to a diamond that truly speaks to your heart.
